Long Table Christmas Feast at HOPE Community Centre with Bankwest Volunteers.

Hurray, the festive feels are here! 🎄

It’s the date in the calendar we all look forward to at United Way WA, our annual long table lunch for the guests at HOPE Inc Community Centre 🥰
The hall was decked, the holly was hung and carols were aplenty!
Thank you to the epic volunteer crew from Bankwest, together we provided 95 guests who are experiencing homelessness or food insecurity with a three-course, sit-down feast with their friends.
For some will be their only Christmas celebration for the year.
It’s a beautiful event with everyone receiving a gift each, table service from the wonderful volunteers, and a chance to relax in the cool of the HOPE Hall.
Thank you to everyone who made the day so special, it was a big push, but we all agreed it was well worth the effort 😊
HOPE Community Centre provide services to people struggling with food insecurity and homelessness.
They are open every Tuesday and Friday 10am-4pm to people in need, giving access to free second-hand clothes, shoes, books and kids toys. There’s also computer facilities, internet and a safe and comfortable place to enjoy a meal, socialise and find help with all kinds of issues.
Every third Tuesday of the month, HOPE, United Way WA, and Bankwest work together to provide a sit-down, two-course lunch for 150 people. It’s a truly heart-warming experience to prepare and serve such healthy, wholesome food to people in need and work with these amazing teams!
