Community Impact

What is Community Impact?

The United Way Community Impact strategy is defined as "mobilising communities to create lasting changes in community conditions that improve lives".

United Ways funding will be characterized by strategic community investment.  Our approach aims to engage all stakeholders to achieve substantive and sustainable improvements in the community.  As a relatively new approach to philanthropy, our aim is to engage stakeholders in a journey which focuses on raising awareness and education and then providing an opportunity for meaningful engagement.

United Ways are operating on three priority impact areas: Education, income and health.  Here in Western Australia, donations to United Way will enable a child to achieve their potential by enhancing school readiness; ensure youth are productive and engaged - promoting in turn financial stability and independence.
