Who We Support

There are many competing charities, and no-one can donate to all of them. United Way provides the answer. It’s one simple way to help many.

United Way seeks out projects that:
 
Promote successful children and youth
 
Enrich the lives of older adults
 
Promote self-sufficiency
 
Ensure basic needs are met
 
 

Our research into these issues tells us where the money is most needed. Experienced staff and volunteers then review funding submissions, conduct interviews and visit agencies to assess their performance against strict criteria. Transparent donation allocation processes ensure fairness.

United Way WA is a central point through which money and services are dispersed to charities of all sizes in Western Australia, and is of particular benefit to small but deserving charities who may struggle to compete for the fundraising dollar.

One in three Western Australians use one or more of United Way WA’s beneficiaries each year.
