Sports Charity Program
United Way’s Sports Charity Program provides a unique opportunity for Community Partners to work with high-profile West Australian sports codes in order to raise awareness and funds for its cause. Each year, United Way WA work with the sport codes to identify their focus and then selects a Community Partner[s].
West Coast Eagles Football Club
In 1989, United Way WA partnered with West Coast Eagles Football Club [WCEFC] to help build strong communities in Western Australia. Since its inception, WCEFC have supported more than 50 Community Partners. One year, the club’s focus was in the area of health and fitness so United Way WA united them with Community Partners, Foodbank and Diabetes Australia. During the course of that year, a number of projects and initiatives were undertaken including providing breakfast for disadvantaged schoolchildren who would otherwise go to school on an empty stomach.

In 2007 Perth Glory became United Way's newest partner in the Sports Charity Program.

As part of the Sports Charity Program Perth Glory players have also made player appearances at Community Partners Westcare Inc. and Dyslexia-Speld Foundation WA.
