They are assessed by United Way WA’s Allocation’s Committee and recommendations are made to the United Way WA Board, who make the final decision.

Workplace Giving Project Grants Project grants are allocated from a specific Corporate Partner and their employees who are donating funds. With input from the Corporate Partner, United Way WA identities a project or projects with a Community Partner. For example, it may be equipment required for a particular purpose. This project or projects are recommended to the United Way WA Board, who gives final approval.

Workplace Giving designations Through United Way’s Workplace Giving program, employees of Corporate Partners may indicate a preferred recipient for their donations from United Way WA’s list of 170 Community Partners. Subject to confirmation by United Way WA’s Board, this Community Partner may then receive funding through this program. They are assessed by United Way WA’s Allocation’s Committee, who make the final decision.
