Fundraising Activities
United Way WA has developed a number of fundraising activities
that can be used to raise money in addition to your Workplace
Giving project[s]. They are easy to implement, require little time
and investment and are fun for management and staff.
The smallest amount raised can make a big difference to West
Australians in need. Here are some real-life examples of what
Corporate Partners have raised money for:
- $50 [13 cents per day] will provide Asthma first-aid kits for
two schools.
- $90 [24 cents per day] will provide a child in foster care with
two one-hour after school tutoring sessions.
- $110 [30 cents per day] will provide one specialised
thermometer for a child undergoing cancer treatment.
- $200 [55 cents per day] will provide one person the opportunity
to attend a retreat for sufferers of Huntington's Disease.
- $250 [60 cents per day) will provide a person who has recently
suffered the loss of a limb access to a positive role model who has
been through the same experience, and gone on to rebuild their life
and can offer advice about coping strategies and support
services.
- $1000 [$2.70 per day] will support one homeless family with
dependent children to access stable housing.
- $2000 [$5.50 per day] pays for all care requirements for one
horse or pony providing therapeutic riding opportunities for
children with disabilities.
- $5000 [$25 per day] will provide 25 children with access to a
trained mentor for one hour a week providing learning support and
general guidance.
- $5000 [$13.60 per day] will pay for one wish for a child with a
serious illness. erhaps you have access to seats in Corporate Boxes
or tickets to games and events? Raffling them off is another way
you could fundraise for your Workplace Giving project[s].

list is by no means exhaustive so if you've got a great idea, email us.
